AI your customers ask
How it works
How the test works
- You enter your website
You install nothing. We find your industry and city from the site.
- We ask like your customer
The same question three times, because the answer changes a little each time. For now in Google's Gemini, more AIs coming.
- You get a report
Who was named, in how many answers, and where AI got it.
maple-hair-austin.com
“Which hair salon in Austin would you recommend?”
Without your business name, so we don't lead the AI.

What you get
What's in the report
We ask AI a question your customer might type, three times, because it answers a little differently each time. Below is a sample of what the report looks like and how to read it.
Who appeared in AI answers
Each row is one business, each column one of the 3 answers. A filled square means AI named the business in that answer.
QuestionWhich hair salon in Austin would you recommend?
| Business | 1st answer | 2nd answer | 3rd answer | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Main Street Hair | 3/3 | |||
| Studio on 5th | 3/3 | |||
| Your businessyou | 2/3 | |||
| Salon Luxe | 2/3 | |||
| The Barber Shop | 1/3 |
namednot in the answerCompetitor names are blurred in this sample.
How to read it: two competitors were in all 3 answers, you in 2. AI knows you, but doesn't always pick you.
Mentioned in 2 of 3 answers means AI named you in two of the three answers.
- 3 of 3AI names you reliably for this question
- 1 to 2 of 3sometimes yes, sometimes no
- 0 of 3you were not among those named in these answers
Sites AI took businesses from
AI doesn't make businesses up, it takes them from pages it reads. We show which pages, and for each one what to do: where to sign up, where to ask for reviews, who to write to.
Full answers, word for word
For each question you switch between 3 answers. Your business is highlighted in the text. We don't rewrite anything.

How to check if ChatGPT recommends your business
Ask ChatGPT the way a customer would, without your business name, in a fresh chat, and repeat each question three times. Write down the date, the assistant and who was named, because one answer proves nothing.

What is GEO (generative engine optimization) for local businesses
GEO, or generative engine optimization, is the work of making your business easy for AI assistants to find, understand and mention. For a local business it overlaps heavily with ordinary SEO, and no one can guarantee a mention.

Why AI assistants mention your competitors and not you
There is rarely one cause. Chance, the wording of the question, the sources an assistant reads, unclear pages, blocked crawlers and inconsistent details can all play a part, and each one can be checked.
Questions
Your questions
What is Zmienka?
Zmienka (zmienka.com) is a tool that checks whether AI assistants recommend your business. It asks AI the questions customers ask, without your business name, three times each. It shows whether you are among the businesses named, who else AI named and which pages it drew from. The quick test is free. The team is from Slovakia.
Is it ChatGPT or something else?
For now we measure Google's Gemini with web search. ChatGPT and Perplexity are coming. Every result says which AI it came from and when. Different AIs agree little on the same question, so we don't mix them.
Why did the app show me different businesses?
The app knows a user's location, history and settings. We ask without them. Even the same question asked twice in a row can give a different selection. That is why we measure three times and show the date.
What if AI didn't mention me?
The report shows which pages AI took businesses from in your field. The Action plan ($12) opens those pages, tells you which competitors are on them and whether we found you there too, and prepares copy-ready texts and a message for whoever runs your website. You can then do it yourself, or we do it for you for $99. Card payments are coming soon.
How long does it take?
The quick test takes about half a minute, the full report about a minute, the Action plan under a minute. That is how long it takes us to ask the AI and go through the answers and the pages they cite.
What do you do with my data?
The quick test needs only your website address. We ask for your email only for the full report, use it only for that and never share it. Questions go to Google's Gemini, and your business name is not in them.
What does the name Zmienka mean?
“Zmienka” is Slovak for “a mention”, which is what we measure: whether AI mentions your business. Zmienka is run by AcuityHub, s. r. o. from Slovakia.
AI doesn't look only at your website.
It builds a recommendation from maps, reviews, directories, booking systems and social networks. Find out where it gets businesses in your city.
